The Cooperative is founded in 2003. by 10 members / founders. As direct or indirect consequence of the project the number is increased in 2005. 62% from 151 up to 241.In the end f 2006, after installation of cooperative’s freezing plant the total number of beneficiaries raised to 400 settled in different villages in Bratunac and Srebrenica areas.
It is important to say that cooperative activities are not turned only to its members, since it is open to the whole local community.
GENERALE OBJECTIVE
The general scope of the project is to facilitate the returns of refugees and multiethnic cohabitation in region of Bratunac-Srebrenica, through the reactivation of rural economy on sustainable base and the creation of an microeconomic system based on the domestic cultivation of small fruits in families farms joined in cooperative.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
- Reactivation and increase of the berries production in the area, along with promotion of the values of cooperative
- Education of the producers and vocational training for local agronomists
- Introducing of the contemporary techniques within; irrigation, use of tunnels, out of soil production
- Implementation of the new-developed varieties, aimed to extend vegetational period what consequently optimize use of labour
- Cultivation of its own tunnel nursery in order to supply producers with high quality dibbles.
- Reliable ransom and marketing
- Building of the freezing plant for berries storage
Organisation of fruit processing what provides inclusion into world market.
WHY THE COOPERATIVE?
Because it not enough only to return... returnees needs a house.The who has a house with no job can not live.In the returnees structure the majority are women widows or disabled head of families (in the end of 2004 1080 mothers head of families used to live in Bratunac;in the end of 2006. the number is doubled).United in cooperative they feel stronger and they get rid of fear.
The returnees and their neighbours are aware that for mutual problems and difficulties the solutions can be found renewing together traditional production of berries.
These were reasons why this is not only economic project since renewal of economy requires cooperation, the cooperation consider confidence.The confidence is built by dialogue and by listening of the other experience.
The renewal of confidence gives back the feeling of safety.

WHY THE RASPBERRIES?
- because it’s traditional culture of the area
- it doesn’t require physical power so it can be cultivated by single women and elder families.
- requires less investment in order to to reach self sustainability
- great demands in the world market for the berries(the offer is still less then demands)
- because the raspberry transform the word RETURN into STAY since ones planted it gives fruit at least 10 years.
